The Child Abuse Council is a private, non-profit agency that provides prevention, education, and treatment programs to help children and strengthen families in Hillsborough County. In 2006, the Council reached over 53,000 children and adults through its programs; and community supporters offered more than 4,000 volunteer hours.

The Children's Board of Hillsborough County was established in 1989 with a mission of improving the lives of children and families in Hillsborough County.  Today, they c
ontinues this mission by funding local prevention and early intervention supports and services, as well as providing leadership, planning/Analysis, advocacy, technical assistance/training, information and Education, and research and evaluation.  The Children's Board has been a generous and integral sponsor of the ICON website redevelopment project.
