Ways to Work/Partners in Self-Sufficiency

Integrates two important programs into one! Ways to Work is a national initiative providing small, fixed-interest loans to low-income, working parents unable to qualify for credit elsewhere.  Utilizing a financial education module including credit counseling, Ways to Work assists families toward self-sufficiency by providing loans to obtain transportation to continue school or employment.

For over 20 years, Partners in Self-Sufficiency (PSS) has assisted motivated families in becoming first-time homeowners.  Through one-on-one case management, life-skills training, negotiation with creditors, and other advocacy, PSS develops a personalized plan toward self-sufficiency.

In addition, both initiatives benefit from a parent education component that provides critical relationship skills training for caregivers on a voluntary and court-ordered basis.
